Stretching It Out

Have you ever noticed your dog or cat when they wake up, the first thing that they do is stretch?

Then why is it when we wake up, we just jump up and hit the ground running? Think for a moment what that action does to our muscles and joints. Stretching whether it is first thing in the morning, after sitting at our computers, or after a commute to work is integral to good health. It elongates muscles, increases blood flow to the tissue, and prevents injuries and muscle splitting.

There is something rewarding when your body gets the love it needs, especially if we are consistent with it. In addition to chiropractic care, stretching and exercise helps keep your body stay with balance and alignment. For some people, becoming active is not a problem and others simply do not enjoy it. Regardless, when you get into a routine, it can be the most beneficial aspect to your life.

At Fogarty Chiropractic, we can help you get on the right track! We offer a variety of stretches and exercises with each phase of chiropractic care ranging from spinal stretches to strengthening for the spine and other parts of the body as well. By stretching more, it helps the chiropractic adjustments hold for a longer period of time and prevents injuries.
